The Application Tableau is not Open Anymore

When you quit or force quit Tableau desktop in Mac, due to application “not responding” (for whatever reason may be), and then you try to open Tableau Desktop again, you might run into the below error

“The Application Tableau is not Open Anymore”

Couple ways to fix this:

• Restart you Mac (or)
• Open Activity Monitor, under ‘Memory‘ tab, Either look for process named Tableau in the list, or search for ‘tableau’ (in the upper right corner of the window), and kill the process that gets listed in the search result.

Now Tableau Desktop should open up fine.
